Andy Bloom began his career in 2005 working in accounting for Weyerhaeuser.
In 2008, Andy joined Summit Capital, a Registered Investment Advisory firm based in Seattle and Spokane, Washington. He spent over seven years working on the investment management team with a primary focus on public market strategies. He became a portfolio manager of the Diversified Income Strategy in 2015, where he was responsible for research, portfolio construction, asset allocation, trading, risk management and day-to-day portfolio management.
In 2016, Andy joined Merriman Wealth Management through a merger with Summit Capital. He became a Wealth Advisor in 2019, where he worked directly with clients to create customized financial and investment plans. He was also a member of the Merriman Investment Committee.
Andy holds his Chartered Financial Analyst®, CFA® and his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designations.
Andy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, majoring in accounting. While there, he was the captain of the Seattle University RedHawks basketball team. He currently resides in Spokane, Washington with his wife and two children. He enjoys golfing, cooking, traveling, and coaching youth basketball for his daughter and son. He is committed to helping his community and actively supports a variety of local causes. He is also a member of the YWCA of Spokane Finance Committee and a board member of the Bloom Foundation.
